A police investigation has been launched following apparent racist attacks on Muslim students in London in which three people were stabbed.

In the worst incident, last Thursday evening, a mob of 30 white and black youths is said to have surrounded Asian students near City University in central London and attacked them with metal poles, bricks and sticks while shouting racist abuse. Three people - two students and a passerby who tried to intervene - were stabbed.

The attack was the culmination of a series of confrontations over several nights near the university. Earlier in the week a group shouted abuse at a Muslim student going to a prayer room at the university and then attacked him and other students escorting him to the tube. In that incident one student suffered a fractured skull.

The Secretary General of Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari MBE, today joined, HM The Queen, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other faith leaders to commemorate Armistice Day at the Cenotaph in central London.

The Muslim Council of Britain joins the nation to commemorate Armistice Day.

Commenting on the Remembrance Day service, Dr Bari said, “it is important we stand together to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in support and defence of our country”.

Moscow, November 6, - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia visits Baku to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Caucasus Muslim Board head Allahshukur Pasha-zade.

The Russian Patriarch will also meet with Patriarch-Catholicos Ilia II of All Georgia, who is in Baku already.

“Holy Patriarch Ilia II will be in Baku on this day. If all plans remain in force, the Primates of two Churches will meet,” Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, the head of the Synodal Church and Society Department, told Interfax-Religion.

A far-right campaign to ban minarets construction in Switzerland is part of a broader scheme to target the Muslim presence in the European country, Muslim leaders warn.

“We are defending our identity as symbolized by the minarets,” Hisham Maizar, president of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Switzerland, told IslamOnline.net over the phone from Bern.

People will vote on November 29 on a referendum spearheaded by the far-right Swiss People’s Party (SVP) to ban the building of new minarets in the European country.

Built by the Ebubekir Pasha in 1622 in Rhodes, in the name of Ottoman naval commander who was killed in the shore of Rhodes in 1609 during the reign of Sultan Suleyman, with the tomb and 378 tombs almost fall into ruin because of neglect.

Commander of Bosnian Serb forces in Serbian invasion to Sarajevo in The Hague War Crimes Tribunal commiserate that could kill more Muslims.

According to Ahlul Bayt (A) News Agency – ABNA.ir – Radovan Karadzic, former president of Serb part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serb forces commander in the raid against Bosnian Muslims, he was presented in the Hague court to review the war crimes in Bosnia and answered the questions of the judge and prosecutor.

He said: I Personally take the responsibility for killing more than 7,000 young men and boys in Srebrenica.

Karadzic in response to this question that Chief Judge asked him; are you regret about the things you had done? He answered: I’m sorry because some Muslims were able to escape the shambles and I could not kill them.

Researchers and prosecutors of war crimes trail are in strong evidence that Radovan Karadzic had ordered mass killings of Bosnian Muslims and has issued the genocide of Muslims in this region between 1992 to 1995.
